It examines how various perceptions of God—such as God as distant, creator, love, and judge—can contribute to or alleviate spiritual trauma. The session informs clinicians on trauma-informed therapeutic approaches, including EMDR, cognitive restructuring, and narrative therapy, to support clients in processing religious trauma while maintaining their spiritual autonomy. Additionally, it highlights the importance of clinician self-care to prevent vicarious trauma and burnout.
