Meet Laura

Laura Long, MS, LMFT, LMFT/S, MBA, is a therapist in private practice based in Greenville, SC. She is also a clinical supervisor, adjunct faculty instructor, and accomplished business coach in the mental health space. In 2017, Laura launched a consulting business to help guide therapists through the often-complex journey of starting and growing their private practices. Her business quickly grew into a million-dollar enterprise, reaching mental health professionals around the world. Laura has presented workshops across the US as well as internationally, led transformative retreats, and hosted a variety of individual and group coaching programs to help therapists not only build thriving practices but also find creative ways to expand their impact and income outside of the therapy room.

With a passion for innovation, Laura works closely with therapists to uncover opportunities outside traditional client work, helping them leverage their clinical skills to explore creative ideas that enhance their professional lives. She offers individual and group coaching tailored to each therapist’s unique goals, covering everything from starting a private practice to launching a scalable business outside of their practice. More recently, Laura has served as a clinical advisor to start-up companies in the mental health industry to help ensure that their products meet the changing needs of clinicians at various stages of their careers.

Laura believes in the work we do as therapists, and wants all of her consulting clients to feel supported, challenged, and encouraged during their work together. Her approach is lighthearted and candid to help offset the feelings of fear and overwhelm that can often make entrepreneurs feel paralyzed.

Outside of the business realm, Laura enjoys spending quality time with her husband and daughter. She can often be found cheering at her daughter’s extracurricular activities, singing, playing the piano, and tending to her garden. Laura’s dedication to the field of mental health, combined with her love of personal growth and family, make her a trusted resource and mentor for clinicians from all walks of life.
